How do I post clickable banners? Thanks djtiny for the great teaching in this forum. I am totally new . I want to learn more. But can I ask questions on how to post anything for example banners in a blog?

djtiny, yea, thats what I need. Secondly, some affiliate banners do come with a link code. Please don't get furious that I am asking questions off this forum spec. So how do I post such banners in forums or blogs? I will really appreciate to know about integrating photo with a link. Thanks.

Haha, not a problem at all san. Well first of all you need to know if where you are posting this picture supports HTML coding. For instance, this forum does not allow HTML in user posts such as this one. But if your blog or personal website does support HTML this the code for it- <a href="URL"><img src="IMAGE_URL"></a> You would replace the three capital letters "URL" with the URL of the website you want the picture to link to (i.e. "http://www.tilthenight.com") Note that you need to keep the quotations in place at the start and end of the URL. Now you would replace the "IMAGE_URL" (But still keeping the quotations again) with a direct link to the picture you want to use. If you are using PhotoBucket or TinyPic for example, when you upload the picture you will get four links with the picture. One of them says "Direct Link". This is one you need. Or if you are taking a picture from the internet, simply left click the picture and select "Copy Image URL" and that will copy the direct link to your clipboard so you can just right click and "Paste" the direct link in. (However this does not work in all cases, depending on the website you might not see the "Copy Image URL" option.) Here is what a working code would look like, note that this code will not work on this forum- <a href="http://greysonchance.proboards.com"><img src="IMAGE_URL"></a>
Now if that place you are making the link does not support HTML like this forum here's what you need to do. This is what the code should look like- [url="URL"][img]"IMAGE_URL"[/img][/url] Now you pretty much do the same thing. Get the URL you want the picture to link to and replace the "URL" with that. Then get your Direct Link for your picture and replace "IMAGE_URL" with that. NOTE- When using this code (This code is called BBC Code) you do not need the quotations around the links. It won't work if you keep them there. And here's what you'll get-

Can members create a poll?If so, how can I create a poll. I have an idea about some '60's songs that I would like Greyson to cover on his youtube account & thought I would post the original song vids here & ask fans to vote on them. Yes, any registered member should be able to create a poll. Simply go to the forum you want to make the poll in, and to the right of the "New Thread" button you will see "New Poll". Just click that and follow the on-screen instructions from there

djtiny, it's working out greatly. Yes the HTML worked. The other one too is perfect. I tried it. But if I encounter any problem, i hope I am free to ask ? Thanks my man. Please what is a poll in forum? I tried it out here and there are more than one box to fill before the message body. I click back button cause I got confused. Can any one post on how to write a poll here ?

Hey there San,
When a forum member click "Create A Poll" you will then be able to type in the question for the poll as well as the questions along with other options.
So yes, the poster of the poll is the only one who would be able to set the poll answers and question.

Why can't we share our avatar, djtiny? If you want to change your avatar, click 'Profile' on under the banner on the top of the forum. Then click 'Modify Profile'. Under the 'Personal Information' section you will see two lines, "Avatar" and "Avatar URL". If you want to use one of the default Avatars, select one from the drop down box nect to "Avatar". If you want to use your own avatar, you will need the URL to the image, this URL will end in ".png" ".jpg" or similar. If you don't know how to find the image url, post a link to it here and I will get it for you. Once you have the image URL, paste it into the box next to "Avatar URL". Leave "Avatar Width" and "Avatar Height" blank. Click "Modify Profile" at the bottom of the page. Let me know if you run into any problems
